Make Your Own Winter Olympics Memories In Park City

The 2010 Winter Olympics, officially known as the XXI Olympic Winter Games or the 21st Winter Olympics will be held Feb. 12-28, 2010 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada with some events held in the nearby resort town of Whistler.

Nearly 100 nations from around the world have qualified at least one athlete or team for participation in the 2010 games. Sports included in this Olympics include bobsled, luge, skeleton, ice hockey, figure skating, speed skating, short track speed skating, curling, alpine skiing, freestyle skiing, snowboarding, biathlon, cross country skiing, ski jumping and the nordic combined event.

While the world watches the events in Vancouver, the snow will also be falling at the site of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah. www.vancouver2010.com

Salt Lake City and nearby Park City, Utah hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics and winter sports buffs can still enjoy the thrills associated with those Games.

The Best Winter Ski Vacations In The United States!

According to the National Ski and Snowboarders Retailers Association, over 5.5 million individuals participated in the ski season in 2007. The average skier skied for 6.2 days and the stats were at roughly 60% male, 40% female. The median age is 33 years old! That’s a pretty good percentage for skiers in the US. If I factored in all the other skiers as well you would definitely see a major number. However, this time we are just going to do the stats and the best places to ski in the US. I’m sure most people would consider this a hard thing to do since the US has such beautiful places to visit and such amazing options when it comes to a winter ski vacation!

Brighton Ski Resort – How Does Brighton Stack Up To The Other Great Resorts In Utah?

If you are looking for the best places to ski in Utah, than Brighton Ski Resort should certainly be at the top of your list in terms of places to check out. Everybody avid skier knows all about the high quality skiing in Utah.

The state is recognized the world over for it’s incredible skiing, and actually hosted the two thousand and two winter Olympic games, which obvious demonstrates its’ notoriety for winter sports.

Despite all the great ski resorts here, Brighton consistently comes out near the top, no small feat in this loaded area. This is a location that really doesn’t advertise too much, but for those who know about it, it is a skiers’ paradise.
