All around the world, senior traveling is increasing in popularity. A large number of senior citizens are making the decision to get out and travel. If you are one of those individuals, you have likely examined a number of popular vacation destinations. If so, was Mexico on your list?

Mexico is an amazing place to vacation. It is ideal for individuals of all ages. A large number of senior citizens travel to Mexico, each year. Despite what many believe, the United States and Europe are not the only vacation destinations that are ideal for senior citizens. If you are able to take the time to examine what Mexico has to offer, you will likely want to schedule your next vacation there.

As with any other vacation destination, Mexico has a wide range of activities. Many of these activities are perfect for senior citizens. Just a few of the many activities found in Mexico include relaxing at the beach, taking a boat cruise, or going on a guided tour. If you are only able to select a few of these activities, you will want to examine each activity and determine which one brings you the most excitement.

One of the most preferred activities, in all of Mexico, for senior citizens is guided tours. When you think of a guided tour, what first comes to mind? Many individuals assume hiking or biking through rough terrain, but that is not what Mexico guided tours are all about. It is true, you may find guided tours that require a large amount of walking, but additional alterative are available.

Popular guided tours, that are ideal for senior citizens include, ATV tours, bus tours, and boat tours. ATV tours are ideal for those who wish to have a little bit of freedom and excitement while touring Mexico. For those that wish to relax while seeing what Mexico has to offer, boat tours or bus tours may be best.

Similar to guided tours, boat cruises are also available. Many senior citizens consider Mexico boat tours similar to travel aboard a cruise ship. Instead of taking an extended cruise, most boat tours only last a few hours. The length of your tour may be a deciding factor in whether or not you wish to take a boat cruise.

While boat cruises are often used to sightsee, there are many that serve other purposes. Many boat cruises offer exciting onboard activities. These activities often include a night of dinner and dancing. With a little bit of research, it may be possible to find a boat cruise that is designed specifically for senior citizens.

Mexico is most known for their beautiful, fun, and exciting beaches. If you are interested in relaxing at the beach, you have a number of options to choose from. Due to Mexico’s popularity, many public beaches are overcrowded, especially in the spring and summer months. If you would prefer to stay away from large crowds, you may want to consider scheduling your beach vacation at a beach resort.

Mexico beach resorts come in all different sizes and styles. As with most popular beaches, many beach resorts quickly fill up with tourists. Aside from large, well-known resorts, Mexico offers a number of smaller resorts that have a focus on relaxation and privacy. If you are interested in spending your vacation in a private and intimate setting, you may want to consider these types of resorts.

Relaxing by the beach, taking a boat cruise, or going on a guided tour are just a few of the many activities that you can participate in while on a Mexico vacation. Additional activities may include, but should not be limited to, boating, fishing, snorkeling, or horseback riding.

Before participating in a certain activity, you are encouraged to examine your health and your ability to participate. This is not something that is limited just to senior citizens. All individuals are encouraged to examine their ability to complete and participate in certain activities. It is advised that you enjoy your vacation, not push yourself to the limits.

Folks who stay in vacation rentals in Puerto Vallarta have access to all kinds of fun in the sun – and the wind and the waves. A holiday on Banderas Bay is a great opportunity to enjoy some of your favorite activities or to learn something new. Some of the coolest stuff happens in that zone that is neither in the water nor out of it – that place where the bottoms of your feet will surely get wet, and most likely so will the rest of you.

There are a number of surface activities (they probably don’t qualify as sports until you can stay upright for a measurable amount of time) that will test your fitness level, as well as your sense of humor. Many vacation rentals in Puerto Vallarta are only minutes away from the scene of the fun, so eat a good breakfast, coat yourself with biodegradable sunscreen, and get going.

Kiteboard
The concept behind kiteboarding is an old one, although the equipment is totally 21st century. Today, people travel for miles (140 miles, to be precise) and go very, very fast (the record is nearly 50 knots, or close to 58 mph) with kiteboards. Clearly, you’re going to want lessons, which you can get through Airfish Kite School in Bucerias. They offer a 9-hour course, divided into three 3-hour sessions. Your first lesson happens on land; next, you step into the water without a board to learn how to work water and the kite; finally, you have a chance to practice with all the gear. Try this any afternoon on the beach in Bucerias.

Windsurf
Windsurfing is sort of like surfing, only you don’t need huge waves to get going. On the other hand, it’s a bit like sailing, except that you stand on a board much like a surfboard. Make no mistake, though – if you’re windsurfing, you’re a sailor not a surfer, a distinction that matters to both groups. Much of the windsurfing action takes place on the north end of Banderas Bay, in the town of Nuevo Vallarta, about half an hour north of el Centro. Rental gear is available on the beach near the Marival Hotel.

Parasail
You can find parasailing at Los Muertos Beach. Caution: the wind can be strong across Banderas Bay and it is possible to get hung up on or smack into buildings, trees and other unpleasantly hard surfaces. If you’re not experienced, Puerto Vallarta probably is not the best place to try this high-risk activity.

Chihuahua – a modern city encircled by mountains where traditions will give you a feel of this cultural city! The city of Chihuahua carries a great historical importance for the whole of Mexico because of the presence of numerous monuments and buildings in the city. The beautiful architecture of the city has become one of the major attractions for US and Canadian travelers. Chihuahuas cathedral is the architectural icon of the city. The pink quarry stone studded in the baroque styled architecture provides uniqueness to the Cathedral. The cathedral one of the biggest cathedrals in Mexico and stands 131 feet high and it took over 100 years to build.

Nonetheless, all Mexico travelers are recommended to get Mexican Car Insurance before beginning to tour within the region. This is because even if you purchase coverage in the US oe Canada, the Mexican auto insurance Company is domiciled in Mexico and driving with a foreign (US or Canada) auto insurance policy will not help especially if one gets involved in an auto accident. This means you need to buy Car insurance specifically for Mexico because US and Canadian auto insurance is not valid. For additional info visit Mexico insurance quotes.

Other attractions of Chihuahua are Nombre de Dios Caves, Puerta de Chihuahua, museums and cultural center.

Nombre de Dios Caves

Are you interested in underground excursion? If yes, you should visit Nombre de Dios Caves where you will come across stalactite and stalagmite formations. The interesting shapes are amazing and not from this world. The caves are well maintained and are fully equipped with lights and handrails. The underground excursion will definitely remain one of the most unique excursions of your life.

Museums

Chihuahua is home to several museums. Some depict the story of Mexican revolution, a few are famous for the artworks of local and international artists and in some you can explore the culture of Chihuahua. If you are a follower of modern art you should visit the Modern Art Museum which is also known as Casa Redonda. There are numerous halls in the museum where you can get a look of the artwork of renowned artists. Another famous art museum in the city is Sacred Art museum which is one of the top choices of Canadian art lovers. While walking through the exhibition rooms of the museum you will come across paintings such as “San Francisco de Kotska” by Francisco Martinez, “Inmaculada Concepcion” by the painter Miguel Cabrera and Jose de Alcibar’s creation “La Prision de Jesus.”

Puerta de Chihuahua

Puerta de Chihuahua or Chihuahua’ Door is the tallest sculpture in the world and icon of the city. You will find combination of numerous geometric shapes in the red metal monument. The sculpture is created by Sebastian, the famous sculptor of Mexico.

May is the loveliest of months. According to the poet Sir Thomas Mallory, it’s the month when lusty hearts flourish in lusty deeds, and what better place for that kind of action than a villa Puerto Vallarta? From drinks under the palapa to a float in the pool, from private moments on the balcony to dinner al fresco, this is the life. And that’s just what’s going on at home; there’s more waiting for you when you get out on the street.

When you start looking for something to do in town during the month of May, it’s okay to start with the usual suspects: a day (or three) lounging at the beach; a lazy prowl through the art galleries or shops; a zip through the trees or nose-to-nose with dolphins. The thing is, these things are available no matter when you stay in a villa Puerto Vallarta.

Enjoy all the regular attractions, por supuesto, but if you’re staying in town in May, there are plenty of special activities to grab and hold your attention, and you really ought to check them out.

Festival Cultural takes place throughout the city, although the majority of activities can be found in El Centro. Artists of all sorts from around the area and around the globe sing, dance and paint their way into the hearts of locals and visitors.

May is the kick-off for sea turtle preservation season. Puerto Vallarta’s beach are prime breeding grounds for sea turtles, and the community has come together to protect their nurseries and sponsor Turtle Liberation events throughout the summer.

Food lovers turn out in droves for Vallarta Lifestyles Restaurant Week. It’s actually two weeks at the end of the month, during which many of the city’s finest eating establishments offer special 3-course meals at huge discounts.

The Puerto Vallarta International Sports Classic welcomes hundreds of participants to compete in three sports: basketball, bowling and soccer. Kids of all ages take part over a long weekend of fun in the sun . . . and the [bowling] alley.

National holidays abound in the month of May, starting with Labor Day on May 1; like other national holidays, you can expect banks and government offices to close. Cinco de Mayo (May 5) celebrates Mexico’s defeat of the French army in Puebla in 1862. And of course, Mother’s Day is a national holiday.

Perhaps all that delicious activity prompted Emily Dickinson to write, “A little madness in the spring is wholesome, even for the king.”

While on vacation in Mexico, many people think that in order to participate in activities such as scuba diving, you must be an experienced diver in order to scuba dive. This is simply not the case. It is advised that you have some basic knowledge of diving and also be a strong and somewhat experienced swimmer. What is intriguing about scuba diving in Mexico is that you do not have to be an experienced diver. In Mexico, there are many people who go diving for the very first time.
The general idea of scuba diving in most areas is the same. However, with scuba diving in Mexico, what you will see underwater can be quite different and alluring by the prevalence of underwater animals and plants that can only be seen in the Mexico area. Below is a list of the top 3 reasons why you should consider your first diving adventure by scuba diving in Mexico:

(1) The Yucatan Peninsula: ‘Cenote Dive’
A ‘cenote’ is vast system of underground rivers, pools, and caverns. Many of these ‘cenotes’ can be found in Tulum in the Yucatan Peninsula. With an experienced guide, these ‘cenotes’ are open for swimming and cave diving. The Yucatan Peninsula is world renowned for its network of underground caverns. Diving in a ‘cenote’ is unlike cave diving and requires no certification beyond OpenWater. The reasoning that no certification is required is because you are never more than 30 feet (50 meters) from an opening. Imagine diving into a lagoon, with sunlight and trees sparkling through the clear blue water. These ‘cenote’ dives also offer snorkeling as well. These ‘cenotes’ make scuba diving in Mexico the ideal place to enjoy your first scuba experience.

(2) Los Cabos, Cabo San Lucas, Cabo Pulmo, The East Cape and La Paz
Baja California Sur, Mexico
The diversity in fish and marine mammals that congregate in this area of Mexico in unmatched anywhere is the Earth’s undersea domain. In this region, scuba diving in Mexico is unparalleled to any part of the world. Three major ocean currents collide here to create a very unique and varied sea life that is present in these fruitful waters. The California current, Panamic current, and the North equatorial countercurrent all interact together and bring an abundant population of plankton. This staple of marine life attracts the whole sea life food chain. This presence of marine life has caused the Sea of Cortez to be labeled the “World’s Richest Sea”. This is especially true for the waters that caress the southern tip of Baja.

(3) Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Scuba diving in Mexico can also be a great adventure in the Puerto Vallarta region along the Pacific Ocean. Puerto Vallarta scuba diving is a rare treat as many of the nearby islands and bays, such as Los Arcos, Majahuitas. There is also the Marietas islands, which have been designated as protected underwater national parks. Between the months of December and April, scuba diving in Mexico in the waters of Puerto Vallarta will likely offer views of humpback whales, as mammals migrate to warm seas off the coast each winter. Whale sharks, dolphins, sea turtles, and a variety of tropical fish also make this safe haven their home. Puerto Vallarta scuba diving has become one of the hottest scuba diving locations in Mexico.

Mexico is full of wonderful locations to vacation in. From seashores and mountaintops to big city delights, Mexican destinations provide something for everyone. Planning your vacation can easily start using one of several travel websites, however, those looking for adventure are also able to pick at random to make a beautiful vacation on the fly.
Even picking at random, its hard to go wrong with recommendations like these three:

Mexico travel professionals all advise that you purchase Mexican auto insurance. before your travel begins. Buying Mexican Insurance Online allows you to get the quality policy you need at the best rate. You can also print your policy certificate instantly after payment Review and compare Mexico Car Insurance for reliable quality Auto Insurance for Mexico which everyone who drives in Mexico needs.

The Costa Flamingo: a half-hour drive from Merida, Mexico’s Costa Flamingo is dotted with numerous small beach towns, that one source declare will give you “… an authentic Mexican experience in a clean, peaceful fishing village that boasts no gigantic hotels and no hustle or bustle.” Also said to be promising for anyone shopping for beachfront bargains, lots as well as homes, especially who doesn’t mind a bit of renovating, if necessary.

Campeche: on the Gulf of Mexico, Campeche is part of a World Heritage Site, described by one of its fans as beautiful and well-preserved, with all kinds of places – natural as well as manmade – to explore, ancient as well as modern — Mayan ruins and villages, caves, and more, and of course all variety of fishing and water sports on the beautiful Gulf. A surrounding neighborhood community is described as “vibrant and affluent,” and as starting to catch on with ex-patriats due to the beauty, the friendly people, and the low crime and still-bargain lifestyle affordability.

Calakmul – which was close to Tikal for splendor in the Maya world — may be one of Mexicos better kept secrets, hidden in the undergrowth of the Yucatans near Guatemala. Only a few thousand foreigners visit these ancient ruins each year. The site has yielded jade, ceramics and royal tombs as well as magnificent ancient murals. Two million acres of jungle with native jaguar, parrots, monkeys and birds of prey are common sights.

Ajijic/Chapala: Proximate enough to Mexicos second-largest city of Guadalajara to be able to enjoy access to great health care, cultural activities, shopping, shopping, and an international airport, this spot, the lakeside area of Ajijic, is also credited by one ex-pat resident as having an excellent communication infrastructure. Sounds like a winning combo, all right. Three Favorite Mexico Insider Destinations!

If you are planning a romantic cruise, wedding, or family vacation to Mexico, you will want to make sure that your trip isn’t overshadowed by torrential rains, storms, or even a hurricane. To plan your vacation, you should follow the local news for both current events and the weather. Planning your trip, according to the weather, will ensure that you will have a wonderful vacation that includes sun filled days. Below is an overview of some of the average temperatures and weather for the top Mexico vacation destinations.

The average climate for Acapulco is between 80-82′ Fahrenheit. The highs run from 87-90 degrees and the lows are between 70-75′. The hottest months are from May to September, with the coolest months being from December to April. Rainfall can range from very little to a large amount. From December to May there is very little rainfall. However, from May to September, rainfall can reach oven 10 inches. The month of the heaviest rainfall is September; this is also the time of year when the hurricane risk is high. If you do not want to experience heavy rainfalls, you are urged to vacation during the months December to May. These months will ensure that your vacation will be a relatively dry one.

Cancun is a beautiful island to visit and its average temperature ranges from the mid 70’s to the mid 80’s. A bit cooler than Acapulco, Cancun’s coldest months are between December and May and the temperatures run from 74′-82′. The warmer temperatures occur from May to November and temperatures rise from the low 80’s up to roughly 90 degrees. Rainfall is more abundant year round, but is not as much rain as seen in Acapulco. From December to May, rainfall averages between 1 1/2 inches to 4 1/2 inches. The summer months may see as much as 9 inches of rainfall. Cancun will experience less dry months than Acapulco, but you won’t experience as many torrential rainstorms either.

Cozumel has a very steady climate with lows ranging in the high 60’s and the highs ranging between 82-87 degrees The warmest month of the year is August and coldest is in Decemeber. From December until March, you may experience cool weather in Cozumel.

Many say that Los Cabos feels like the desert with dry heat. Humidity is rare and so are torrential rainstorms and downpours. However, the ocean will deliver a cool and refreshing breeze. The warmest month of the year is July, when temperatures can reach 100′. The coolest months are from January to May where the temperatures average between 51-66′. The average lows during the hot summer months are between 73-75′.

Mazatlan is known for being one of the largest beaches that Mexico has to offer. The weather is typically warm and beautiful, however during the summer months it can become very hot and humid. The warmest month is August, where temperatures can reach a high of 90′. The coolest temperatures are between the months of December to May, and the averages temperature is round 60′.

Puerto Vallarta is surrounded by the Sierra Madre Mountains. This tropical climate is host to a heavy rain season from June to October. The high temperatures during these months range from the high 80’s – mid 90’s. The temperature is very steady year round; however, Puerto Vallarta is known for its large amount of nighttime rains.

While it may be difficult to keep track of the varying weather conditions in Mexico, it is advised that you do. Unfortunately, many vacationers believe that Mexico is warm and sunny all year long. This is simply not true. By knowing what the weather will be like, you can easily plan and prepare for you vacation in Mexico.

The beautiful seaside coastal town of Playa del Carmen is located in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. Playa as it is known locally is slightly lesser known than its famous neighbor, Cancun which is located about 70 kilometers away. While Cancun is more known for its partying and nightlife, Playa is a slightly more laidback in contrast but no less popular.

This article will look at where one can stay in Playa. Like most tourist destinations, there are many Playa del Carmen Hotels which one can choose from. There are hotels which will suit almost every kind of budget. In case you wish to stay for a longer period (i.e. more than a week or two) then you might also consider staying in the one of many condos in Playa Del Carmen.

The beaches in Playa Del Carmen are some of the most beautiful in the world. The white and golden sands along with the blue-green surf of the ocean make this one of the most scenic spots in this part of Mexico. So staying close to the beach becomes an automatic option for those who love staying near the ocean. There are plenty of budget hotels as well as luxury hotels which one can stay in.

For many people though, the nightlife in Playa is as much of a draw as the beach so many people choose also to stay in the heart of the town so that they can be close to place where they can head to in the night and party. The party area in town is 5th Avenue where there are tons of bars and clubs along with some great restaurants serving all kinds of delicious cuisine. So whether you like to stay near the beach or in town, you can be assured of the fact that Playa will cater adequately to your staying needs.
