Holidays to Zurich is one of the most cherished tourist destinations on earth. It is the largest and the most populous city of Switzerland. The city is considered as the cleanest in the world and it enjoyed a privileged location at the tip of Limmat River. Zurich is also endowed with a large lake, two rivers and beautiful tree covered hills.

Get artsy: even if you’re not a huge art fan, the Kunsthaus Zürich is definitely worth a visit. It has one of the largest collections of Classic Modern Art in the world, including words by Munch, Picasso, Braque and Giacometti.

Go window shopping: on the Bahnhof Strasse. This street is one of the most exclusive and expensive in Zürich, so perhaps use your imagination more than your wallet. Pretty architecture and sights such as the Rennweg and Paradeplatz along the way makes Bahnhof Strasse a great spot.

Also the Old Town (Altstadt) is the historical hub of Zurich. It features cobblestone streets, a variety of small stores and restaurants and many of the city’s most significant religious landmarks.

Bahnhofstrasse is a famous pedestrian street. It offers the top-notch shopping opportunities for the rich and is also home to some of the world’s most important banks. You can take some of the most expensive items home from the Bahnhofstrasse Street.

Zurich has a number of night clubs and bars which as a result means that the city is very lively at nights and also the nightlife is very attractive. Zurich is also a host to the world famous event called as “Street Parade”. “Niederdorf is the area of Zurich which is most famous for night time enjoyment as the district is full of hotels, shopping centres, punk clubs, Brazilian bars, restaurants, and clubs.

When you think of Switzerland in summer, do you think of walking, mountain flowers and cows with bells? Probably yes, but Switzerland in summer has much more to offer than this. It is an ideal destination for everyone from extreme sport junkies to young families.

Morgins, just south of Lake Geneva is a good example of a Swiss village offering everything from the most extreme mountain activities, to quiet family holidays.

The village is a quiet, traditional Swiss village, a ski resort in winter, but in summer offers mountain biking, walking, paragliding and high altitude hiking plus lots of activities for families – a lovely outdoor pool, indoor and outdoor tennis, archery, clay pigeon shooting, and miles of walking. There is a lovely river walk with covered barbecue areas, summer markets and festivals with spectacular firework displays echoing off the mountains. Everywhere you walk, you can hear the cow bells, with the farmers bringing the milk to the village each morning.

The surprise is that you are also just 25 minutes away from the Swiss Riviera on Lake Geneva, with lovely small beaches on the lakeside with amazing views of the Alps and Mont Blanc. You can swim in clear water, dive from platforms, and enjoy lunches at the many beach bars and picturesque towns such as Montreux with its world famous music festival and statue of Freddy Mercury. He loved Lake Geneva so much it featured on the cover of Queen’s last album “Made in Heaven.”

Temperatures in the summer are surprisingly high, allowing miles of vineyards to thrive. Old paddle steamers cruise around the Lake, offering lovely views and Agatha Christie style lunches, or you could visit the Chateau de Chillon, famously associated with Byron. Vevey is a beautiful town, once home to Charlie Chaplin, now home to Nestle with a summer street entertainment festival.

There are boats to hire from all towns on the lake, from pedaloes to speed boats for water sports, or you could even try Hawaiian rafting.

As a base to explore the area, Morgins in the Portes du Soleil has a lot going for it. Being right on the French/Swiss border allows visitors easy access to attractions in both countries, and being only 20 minutes from lake Geneva means you have easy access to a beach when you need to cool off in the lake.

All in all, Switzerland in summer can offer an amazing range of holidays, and Morgins is a great base to take advantage of both the mountain and the lake.

Holidays are for relaxing, not for worrying! Who wants to worry about their safety when they’re trying to de-stress? Unfortunately it’s often easier to figure out which places tourists should avoid, than which countries will welcome them with open arms. However, Forbes Traveller has recently chosen the top ten holiday destinations, based on various studies. The choices are based on criteria such as the UN Crime Study and the results from this year’s Mercer Rankings Study, as well as warnings from the US Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

Some choices, such as Switzerland, peaceful New Zealand or glittering Singapore were to be expected, but there are some surprises in store…

ABC-Islands (Caribbean) The ABC of safety are the southern Caribbean islands of Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao. The reasons? For hurricanes, they are too far south, they have low crime rates and a multicultural tourist-friendly population.

Dubai Artificial, but safe! Although Dubai is currently suffering from the recession, the country remains safe due to its multitude of CCTV cameras and its stable political and social climate.

Ireland According to a study from the World Health Organisation (WHO), the Irish are European folk least inclined to violence! Perhaps they prefer to just talk their problems out…?

Cyprus A little miracle: smack dab in the middle of the Near East is an oasis of peace. This is probably due to the strong economic climate, impression education system, an emphasis on familial values – and two British military bases.

New Zealand This island has one of the lowest rates of crime and violence in the entire world. Due to its location, New Zealand is safe from tropical storms (too far south) and also from antarctic snowstorms (too far north). Not bad!

Mauritius Together with the Seychelles, Mauritius has the lowest rate of crime in Africa. So why is only Mauritius in the top ten? Well…due to its location much further south in the Indian Ocean, Mauritius is safe from piracy!

Bhutan Located in the Himalayas, this kingdom is one of the safest Asian countries. Most of the people are poor, but due to their buddhist beliefs and high level of family values they are some of happiest people in Asia.

Switzerland Amazing but true: three of the five safest cities in the world are in Switzerland (that’s Bern, Genf and Zürich, if you wanted to know). The only warning: watch out for your valuables when taking the night trains across the border!

Iceland Iceland has been most affected by the economic crisis, but the island’s inhabitants have remained peaceful. The level of crime is still remarkably low, possibly due to the excellent education standards.

Singapore Almost a complete lack of natural catastrophes, a law-abiding population and a strong system in case of terrorist threats mean Singapore is as safe as they come…

Stunning landscapes, exquisite cuisines, hospitable people, art-deco structures—these are the features Europe boasts to the world. One has not fully experienced Europe without being acquainted to the country’s beautiful glacier terrain that spreads over their uncorrupted woodlands.

Skiing is leisure popular to Europeans. The snow stretches from France to Switzerland, to Germany, to Austria, to Slovenia, to Bulgaria, and to Italy. However, for the purpose of discussing the best ski resort accommodation, the focus will be on the best known countries that have the best known ski resorts.

Two of the most popular ski resorts in Europe are in Switzerland. St. Mortiz is the definition of a winter-wonderland. As impressive as the mountain landscapes is an extensive series of ice-covered lakes at the foot of the Piz Bernina. At the heart of St. Mortiz is the Hotel Hauser, which is a three-star hotel. The hotel has a remarkable restaurant that serves international dishes as well as local delicacies. It is easily accessible to shopping stores, entertainment centers, and restaurants. The other ski resort quite as noteworthy is Zermatt. Matterhorn, one of Europe’s familiar summits, nestles in Zermatt. The commendable ski resort accommodation in Zermatt is the Chalet Huwi. The chalet is catered and suitable for a small group of friends or a family. It is accessible to the Matterhorn Express lift.

Austrian ski resorts are known for the reliable snow. The ski trails are set to suit all types of skills. Beginners and pros alike can definitely enjoy simple twists and turns and challenging courses, respectively. Restaurants and shops are alongside the pistes, which look especially magnificent at night with the lights on. The ski resort accommodation that stands out in the Fuschml am See area is the Hotel Seewinkel. It is a four-star hotel central to the largest lake-area in the Alps. The scene is breathtaking, the hotel structure—as elegant. Modern pieces such as furniture and artworks are incorporated in the hotel. Some of the popular resorts include Bad Gastein, Schladming, and Kaprun.

The key feature in Italy is the diversity and the richness of the culture. Like the culture, leisure activities such as skiing are as varied and as rich. A number of ski resorts are located in Turin, Valle di Susa, and the Dolomites. Popular resorts are Madonna di Campiglio, Bardonecchia, and the enchanting Courmayeur. Two kilometers away is the Hotel Alpechiara, a four-star hotel known for its comfort and pleasant ambiance. The hotel overlooks the mountain with a spectacular scenery.

Holiday ski in France is comparably more expensive to Austria. The ski resort accommodation is top-notch and worth up to the last coin. The ski resort accommodations well-acclaimed in France are Chamonix, Courchevel, Tignes, and Les Arc, to mention a few. MGM Residences Les Alpages de Chantel is a prominent landmark in Les Arc. Remarkable for its wooden furnishings, this hotel is as cozy inside as it is outside and sets free a warm ambiance.

There are kinds of artistic style in Switzerland though it is not a big country .For example, there are many mystic styles filled in Bern, the capital of Switzerland .Streets are very neat, fountain and statuary with flowers, refined building, six kilometers length porch and old road paved by cobbles .All of these manifest the character and style of the middle century .Bern can join in the World Cultural Heritage List depending on these.

The Clock Tower is the landmark of Bern. It was built in 13th century. The exquisite astronomical clock has a five hundred years history .There have been many puppet performances in 4:00 pm everyday such as the cock crowing, a buffoon striking the bell, a lion shaking its head and a crowd of bears walking together. The performance always attracts many visitors to watch. Bear Pit is another place you shouldn’t miss because the bear is Bern’s urban symbol. As the story goes, the builder of Bern is Berthold Duke who caught a bear and used it to name this city. So we call this city as Bern now.

Geneva is the second large city of Switzerland. It is an important place for travelers to Europe because it has a long history. Besides there is the Geneva Lake in the city which is the largest lake of the Europe, Alps Mountain and Jura Mountains can be seen clearly in Geneva. There is not only the Geneva fountain and Flower Clock which is worldwide famous, but also you can see city garden everywhere. The percentage of forest coverage is very high. Geneva is the second largest virescence city. Driving from the city to whatever direction you choose, the rural scenery will be seen after 15 minutes. Geneva has been chosen as the second of world’s best place to Live.

Switzerland is a small country. There are about 7.5 million people living in every forty thousand square kilometers. But all of scenery can be seen there such as mountains, lakes, forests and plains. Besides, Switzerland has a strong economy that is the 19th of the world, and it is famous in the world for its traditional humanitarianism which makes it become the place where many international organization HQs locate in. Switzerland is famous for its mountains and lakes, but the country is more famous than its scenery.

What most people forget is that North India is home to the Himalayas in Himachal, also known as the Switzerland of North India. Himachal is one of the most beautiful states in India and has some of the finest scenery.
When most people think of India, they envision the bustling crowds and metropolis of Calcutta. Or they envision the majestic Taj Mahal. What most people forget is that North India is home to the Himalayas in Himachal, also known as the Switzerland of North India. The Himalayas not only are one of the most splendid sites in North India that a visitor should see, but a place that any naturalist, climber or outdoors person will want to visit at least once in their lifetime.
Himachal is one of the most beautiful states in India and has some of the finest scenery. You’ll be in awe at the presence of the snow-covered peaks of the Himalayas, the flower-laden valleys that sit between the mountains, and the resplendent blue skies of Himachal. You’ll also travel to Pradesh where you’ll have another view of the soaring Himalayas. During your Himachal Pradesh tour you’ll also have a chance to visit some of North India’s ancient temples, monuments and other sites.

The 10-night, 11-day tour program of Himachal Pradesh will start in Delhi, home to architectures that rival those in Athens, Rome and Istanbul. From Delhi you’ll travel to Chandigarh India’s famous architectural city designed by Swiss Architect le Corbusier – which is how Himachal Pradesh got the name the “Switzerland of India”. Your next stop will be Dalhousie, one can have a great view of the valleys crossed by rivers Chenab, Ravi and Beas and snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas. Dalhousie was previously the recreation center of the British and now, many Tibetans have emigrated here. Many of the highlights of the Himachal Pradesh tour is a trip to Chamba which lies at the foot of the Himalayas, and Khajjiar, where you will get to see the Khajjiar temples. While in Dharamshala, you will visit important spiritual spots like the residence of the Dalai Lama. Then it’s on to Manali, also known as the “Queen of the Mountains”. While in Manali, you’ll visit the old Hadimba Devi temple, the Vashist sulphur bath and the Tibetan monastery. Next stop: Shimla, Himachal Pradesh’ capital state. This is where you want to buy up some of the handmade items that are ideal gifts to take back home. You’ll also have time to visit the beautiful surrounding cities of Kurfi and Chail before travelling back to Delhi.

So now, when you hear someone talk about the Himalayas, and you conger up visions of sherpas backpacking with llamas up into the ragged, snow-covered crests of the world’s highest mountains, remember: you can be there and experience it for yourself! Now you have a once-in-lifetime chance to enjoy the beauty of Switzerland and the exotic atmosphere of North India when you book Classic Holidays’ Himachal Pradesh tour today at www.topindiatravel.com
