The archeological area comprises The Castle which is the major of the buildings, and it overlooks the coast on the cliff edge, Temple of the Descending God portrays a diving figure, and is the same figure you can see depicted at other Mayan sites, including Cobá and the Temple of Frescoes dates back to the mid 1400s, and is a two-story structure with vibrant murals on the inner wall. It is thought to have been one of the last structures built by the Maya before the arrival of Hernan Cortez.
One can enjoy and time for adventures at sea. Exploring the coral shelf which extends far out into the sea is flourishing with varied marine life, and harnessing the wind by wind surfing or maybe kiteboarding.
