You Can Afford a Caribbean Vacation

Nothing tops the Caribbean when it comes to vacation destinations that emphasize having fun in the sun. Located to the southeast of Mexico and northwest of Venezuela, the Caribbean is an area in South America where the waters are a stunning blue and the sun is always hot. Traveling to the Caribbean offers something for everyone, from water sports and swimming to hiking and diving, or even just relaxing on the white, sandy beaches.

But traveling to a warm destination like the Caribbean can be quite expensive, and for this reason, many people shy away from the idea of Caribbean travel. Indeed, why spend so much on a single vacation when you could visit much less expensive vacation destinations? Of course, many of these other places don’t even come close to what Caribbean travel offers.

Ah, but what if you were told that there’s a much better way to spend a vacation? What if you were told that you can go on a Caribbean travel vacation without needing to spend a lot of your hard-earned money?

Paradise on a budget. Now there’s a fabulous concept!

Listed below are several lovely hotels where you can experience the beauty of the Caribbean, while keeping your travel expenses within reason:

The Glamour and Style of Anguilla

Nestled in the most northerly point of the Leeward Islands in the Lesser Antilles, Anguilla is the choice of those who look for real glamour in their island vacations. Anguilla exudes charm, romance and excitement.

Rendezvous Bay Hotel and Villas is not the most glamorous of resorts, but it does offer a spectacular location and remarkable rates. Rooms at this Anguilla destination start at just $130, while villas can be found at only $275. Situated on 50 palm-laden acres, this Caribbean resort hotel offers 46 rooms in a dozen low-rise buildings. The recently refurbished resort boasts white tile floors, simple rattan furnishings and a one and a half mile stretch of sugary sand beach.

Ku is another remarkable Anguilla hotel group. The word Ku means “sacred place” when translated to the Arawak Indian language. This 27-suite hotel overlooks Shoal Bay East, with South Beach style accommodations, minimalist white decor, air conditioning and full kitchens. Room rates start at $295.

Honeymoon in Antigua

The island of Antigua is located just south of Barbuda, another popular Caribbean travel destination. Antigua is self-promoted as a “luxury Caribbean travel escape”, and with good reason. The many hotels and resorts located around the coastline are favored by honeymooners visiting the romantic Caribbean.

While you don’t need to be on your honeymoon to enjoy Antigua’s island charm, the Cocobay Resort’s location on a hillside facing the Caribbean Sea makes for a very romantic atmosphere. The idyllic hotel is comprised of 47 Creole-style cottages in soft pastel tones with rates that are very affordable at $240.
